The Department of Mathematics is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. Our programs are designed to equip students with strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills that are essential for academic, industrial, and societal advancement.
With a dynamic team of dedicated faculty, we offer a broad curriculum spanning pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, and interdisciplinary fields such as data science.

Our Courses
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate courses that fulfill both core and major requirements, providing students with a strong foundation in mathematical and statistical reasoning.
These courses include Pre-Algebra, University Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, Introduction to Research and Statistical Methods, Probability and Statistics, and Biostatistics.
Designed to support students across disciplines, the department also provides courses that meet the requirements for various postgraduate programs, ensuring continuity in academic and professional development.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is comprised of active researchers whose work spans theoretical and applied mathematics, statistics, and interdisciplinary studies.
Faculty scholarship covers areas such as differential equations, computational mathematics, econometrics, fractional calculus, and mathematical modeling of real-world phenomena including public health, crime, and socio-economic systems.
The research also extends to abstract mathematics, including metric space theory and functional analysis.
In addition to journal publications, faculty are engaged in developing academic textbooks and contributing to applied research that addresses contemporary challenges.
This vibrant research culture underscores the department’s commitment to knowledge creation, innovation, and academic excellence.
