Special Programs Unit
The Special Programs Unit provides educational, psychosocial and
developmental support to students affected by insurgency related
trauma. Through a range of targeted programs and activities, the
unit creates opportunities for students to heal, build resilience,
strengthen their academic performance and develop socially and
emotionally.

Our Programs
The Special Programs Unit implements a range of educational, psychosocial and developmental activities designed to support students affected by insurgency related trauma. The programs promote healing, strengthen resilience, improve academic outcomes and support the social and emotional development of participating students.
The Chibok Girls
The Chibok Girls program supports students affected by the experiences associated with the Chibok abductions and insurgency. The program focuses on educational support, psychosocial well being, personal development and building resilience to help students pursue their academic goals and participate fully in university life.
Neem Foundation Girls
The Neem Foundation Girls, also known as Lafiya Sarari, provides educational and psychosocial support aimed at promoting the well being and development of participating students. Through supportive activities and engagement, the program encourages resilience, personal growth, academic development and positive social and emotional outcomes.
