Data Science and Analytics (B.Sc.)
The Data Science and Analytics programme aims at introducing students to the basic principles and tools to solve real-world data related problems.
Students will learn the concepts, techniques, and tools needed to deal with various facets of data science practices. Working with data requires the mastery of a variety of skills and concepts, including fields such as probability, statistics, mathematics, and computational science.
The Data Science and Analytics program has the advantage of combining fields of probability, statistics, mathematics, machine learning, databases, and modern programming languages such as R, Python, and MATLAB. This multidisciplinary program will provide students with tools for extracting knowledge from data originating from any source. Decision-makers can then use this knowledge to make evidence-based decisions in the government, business, and private sector.
