For the security officers at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), rainy days will no longer pose a challenge. President Dr. DeWayne Frazier has personally donated high-quality raincoats to the Security Department, helping the team stay dry and comfortable while safeguarding the campus during the rainy season.
The high-visibility raincoats were formally received by Chief Security Officer, Emmanuel Audu during a brief handover ceremony at the university’s main gate on October 23, 2025.
In his remarks, President Frazier reaffirmed his commitment to supporting all members of the university community, noting that the security team serves on the front lines in all weather conditions. “When I saw these coats, I immediately thought of our officers,” he said. “This is a simple but practical way to show our gratitude and ensure you can perform your duties in greater comfort.”
Chief Security Officer, Emmanuel Audu expressed heartfelt appreciation for the gesture. “We truly appreciate this,” he said. “It will greatly enhance our efficiency during the rainy season.”
The donation reflects President Frazier’s continued dedication to the welfare of AUN’s staff and his recognition of the vital role the security team plays in maintaining a safe and welcoming campus environment.
