The American University of Nigeria (AUN) has recognized Mr. Yakubu Dogari Daniel of the Security and Safety Department and Mrs. Nanah Banu Dzarma of the Finance Department for their dedication and contributions to the University as part of its monthly staff recognition program.
Mr. Daniel was recognized as the May Staff Award recipient, while Mrs. Dzarma received the June Staff Award during a presentation held on Monday, August 24, 2026, in the President’s Office.
AUN President Professor DeWayne Frazier congratulated both recipients and commended them for their commitment to their responsibilities. He encouraged them to sustain their performance and continue to serve as positive examples to their colleagues. “Congratulations to both of you. We appreciate your hard work and commitment to the University. I encourage you to keep it up and continue setting a good example,” President Frazier said.
The monthly recognition is an established practice at AUN through which employees who demonstrate dedication, professionalism, and excellence in their respective roles are recognized for their contributions to the University.
The program provides an opportunity for the University to celebrate staff members whose everyday efforts support the effective functioning and continued development of the institution.
Upon receiving his award, Mr. Daniel expressed appreciation to the University leadership for the recognition. He said the award was encouraging and would motivate him to continue giving his best in service to AUN.
Mrs. Dzarma also thanked the University and President Frazier for the recognition, describing it as an encouragement to remain committed to excellence in her work.
