The American University of Nigeria (AUN) has honored two staff members for their dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the University community.
Mr. Yakubu Dogari Daniel of the Security and Safety Department received the May Staff Award, while Mrs. Nanah Banu Dzarma of the Finance Department was recognized as the July Staff Award recipient. The awards were presented on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the President’s Office.
AUN President Prof. DeWayne Frazier congratulated both recipients and commended their commitment to their responsibilities. “Congratulations to both of you. We appreciate your hard work and commitment to the University. I encourage you to keep it up and continue setting a good example,” he said.
The monthly staff award celebrates employees who demonstrate professionalism, dedication, and excellence in their work. It also highlights the often-unseen contributions of staff members whose daily efforts help sustain the University’s operations and advance its institutional goals.
Receiving his award, Mr. Daniel expressed appreciation to the University leadership for the recognition, noting that it would motivate him to continue giving his best in service to AUN.
Mrs. Dzarma also thanked the University and President Frazier for the honor, describing the award as an encouragement to remain committed to excellence in her work.
Through the monthly award program, AUN continues to celebrate staff members whose dedication and performance make a meaningful contribution to the University community.
