The American University of Nigeria (AUN) Commencement Hall came alive with excitement on Saturday, October 4, 2025, as President DeWayne Frazier hosted the third annual Fun Day for the children of AUN employees. Now an established tradition, the event drew about 250 children, aged 2 to 12, for a day filled with games, sports, and creative activities.
A diverse range of age-appropriate activities kept participants entertained. Younger children enjoyed a color jump, face painting, arts and crafts, and a bouncing castle, while older participants competed in volleyball, football, and basketball tournaments. The festivities culminated in a lively dance competition, won by Paul Pius, with Favour Penisum and Wilson R. Racha as runners-up.
A key highlight was President Frazier’s special performance, where he captivated the children with playful card tricks and a cone display. The young attendees also delighted in taking photographs with the university’s mascot, Stanley the Stallion.
The event also served as a valuable team-building exercise, with President Frazier actively mingling with families and joining in the fun to foster stronger bonds among employees and between staff and university leadership.
