Gaskiya Youth Forum, a group galvanizing young people in Adamawa State for a better future led a courtesy visit to AUN on January 23.
VP Abubakar Abba Tahir received the group which said it had come to identify with and acknowledge the achievements and contributions of the AUN Founder, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, to the society.
“We recognize AUN as one of those creations with an impact on Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole."
President of the forum, Mr. Jonathan Jude Ani, said he believes that education is an important factor in the success of an individual and society as a whole, and AUN has contributed its quota to the success of Adamawa State.
He thanked the entire management of AUN for skillfully handling the institution.
"It takes very competent hands to make things work; we commend the management for keeping the light burning."
VP Tahir thanked the group for its solidarity. He explained that AUN stands for excellence ever since its inception.
"AUN has altered the chemistry of a usual university education because we have shifted from training job seekers to training job creators."
He also explained that as part of giving back to the society, AUN is involved with multiple community services.
"We give scholarships within and outside AUN to the underprivileged, and identify community projects that need intervention."
He assured the group of AUN's continuous relationship and support where necessary.
