On February 11, 2019, Nigeria’s former Vice President and flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, took time off his busy presidential campaign to receive a crocodile effigy (symbol of Rivers State) as the insignia of his conferment of a traditional title of the South-South state.
In his entourage were other PDP chieftains, including Senate President Bukola Saraki, party chair Uche Secondus, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, and state Governor Nyesom Wike.
His Royal Majesty, the King of Ogbaland in Rivers State, Prof. Anele Nwokoma of SITC, sent in a photograph of the investiture which took place at the Traditional Rulers Council secretariat in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
