On January 10, the Admissions Office held a send forth party for a graduate intern, Zainab Nana Modibbo.
Mrs. Modibbo, an alumna of Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, interned with the office from August 2017. She converted from volunteer to a paid intern after exhibiting an uncommon work ethic that was adjudged necessary for retention.
Associate Director of Admissions Usman Isa said Mrs. Modibbo would be greatly missed by the department as she enjoys work and always sought to get more tasks to do.
One of her supervisors, Victor Edem, described her as very committed.
“All along we’ve always enjoyed her work with us. She has been quite impactful. She’s been doing things quite differently from what we’ve been experiencing with other interns. She goes after the task.”
Staff members from Admin 2 building as well as the Modibbos attended the send forth
Mrs. Modibbo said back in the days as a student of MAUTECH, she had always admired gaining some work experience with AUN owing to the nature of the environment which, she said, is conducive to both work and learning. She is moving on to be a permanent staff with the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola.
