He was a Graduate/Research Assistant at the University of Lagos Nigeria; Senior Lecturer at the Lagos State University, the Federal University of Technology Owerri Nigeria, and the Yaba College of Technology Lagos Nigeria; pioneer Head of the Department of Business Administration & Management Technology at the Lagos State University Nigeria; pioneer Professor of Marketing at Covenant University Nigeria; pioneer Chair, Department of Business Administration at the American University of Nigeria Yola; and substantive Dean of the School of Business & Entrepreneurship at the American University of Nigeria Yola. He is associated with scholarly publications in books and journals. His research interests are in marketing, contemporary business strategies, business ethics, political marketing, small business and entrepreneurship management.
He has held External Examiner positions at University of Maiduguri Nigeria, Olabisi Onabanjo University Nigeria, Obafemi Awolowo University Nigeria, Usmanu Danfodio University (UDU) Nigeria, Ladoke Akintola University Nigeria, Gombe State University Nigeria, Ebonyi State University Nigeria, Midlands State University Zimbabwe and Cape Town University of Technology South Africa. He has supervised/examined many PhD and Masters candidates, and has been involved in the assessment of professorial positions in some universities, including the Enugu State University of Science & Technology, Usmanu Danfodio University (UDU) Sokoto, University of Maiduguri, Bayero University Kano, Lagos State University, University of Calabar, Nasarawa State University, and Bingham University, among others.
He is an alumnus of the United States of America (USA) IVP’s Entrepreneurship in the USA Program, and belongs to the International Academy of African Business & Development (IAABD, USA), the Academy of Management Nigeria, and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). He holds editorial board membership in the Academy of Marketing Studies Journal (USA), the Academy of Information & Management Sciences Journal (USA), the International Journal of Social Entrepreneurship (UK), the African Journal of Business & Economic Research (UK), and the Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies (UK).
He was Commercial Manager at Globe Shipping Nigeria Limited Lagos, and Group Head (Qualitative & Quantitative Research) at Research International (Nigeria) limited Lagos. He has served as management consultant to the NNPC (Logistics Management), NPA (Marketing Strategy), NEPA (Strategic Marketing Management), and Marketing Research Trends Ltd Lagos (Qualitative & Quantitative Research), among others. He was Dean of the School of Business & Entrepreneurship at the American University of Nigeria. He was the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Eastern Palm University, Imo State of Nigeria. He is happily married with two children.
