Book Club

Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything’’

The Writing Centers book club meets every Wednesday at 5 pm and every Friday at 10 am in designated rooms at The Robert Pastor Library & E-Learning Center. The Book Club assigns an engaging text every semester and provides an excellent opportunity to broaden your mind and explore other continents. It is free and open to all members of the AUN community.

In 2015, the Writing Center launched a campaign under the name DEAR (Drop Everything And Read).  DEAR is a group of avid readers brave enough to explore the many layers of history in books like Murambi: The Book of Bones by Boubacar Boris Diop, or ferried round Nigeria in search of wonderland through Chimamanda Adichie’s Americanah, and The Thing Around Your Neck.

Be sure that you could never be bored at the book club because reading gives you a chance to live a thousand lives and go to even more places.

Be a DEAR!
