Town Hall Meetings for Staff, Faculty, and Students Focus on Safety, Security

On September 12, President Ensign addressed separate town hall meetings with all the staff, faculty, and students. The staff meeting at the Commencement Hall was an opportunity to discuss the northeast security situation and the AUN contingency plan that covers everyone in the University community.

Energy Consultant: AUN’s Energy Spending Down 30 Percent

The energy conservation program of the University is paying off. Energy Consultant Michael Ameh describes the result as “unimaginable.” He broke the news in a report released on September 12 and said the program has resulted in huge savings in energy and costs for the University.

Founder, Children Tour e-Library Complex

AUN Founder and Nigeria’s former Vice President AtikuAbubakar, accompanied by his children, toured the Dr Robert A. Pastor Library & e-Learning Center on August 29, his first return since officiating at the formal dedication of the facility on May 9.

Rheeder: Computer Skills Now A Necessity

The Director of Auxiliary Services, Mr Renaldo Rheeder, has emphasized the growing need for IT literacy. He was speaking to new students during an orientation seminar held on August 23.

Deans, Program Chairs Highlight Academic Offerings

Deans of schools and program chairs interacted with new students on August 21 during College Connections, a segment of the new student orientation. Held at the Robert Pastor Library auditorium, the interaction exposed new students to the various programs on offer.

SGA President Tells New Students to Own Their Success

The Student Government Association President, Mr JosephOladimeji, has encouraged students to take responsibility for their success at AUN. He was addressing the welcome session for new students on August 20.
