Saturday, July 5, was incredibly lovely, the day of a popular event called ‘The Makeover’. A previous performance featured guys dressed and acting like girls. This time around, it was the reverse. Girls dressed, acted, walked, and even sang like guys.
AUN’s summer semester of 2014 kicked off on May 19. Summer is that time of the year when the school is officially on break. As is the practice in American universities, AUN students wishing to be ahead of their class or re-take their courses, stay back for the summer semester.
The Director of Public Affairs, Mr Yusuf Mohammed, has explained various ways in which the University reaches out to its host community. Mohammed was speaking on June 20 to new security recruits undergoing orientation with the Communications Department as a gateway between the University and the outside media.
Eight institutions in Adamawa State converged at the University Hotel & Conference Center on June 21, to explore how to make Yola can be a center of excellence in education.
IT firm, Inter-Web Global Biz, has chosen to partner with AUN for the University’s prowess in the use of information technology. Inter-Web was recently authorized by the Adamawa State Ministry of Education to capture data of secondary school students in the state in electronic format, for easier management of resources and activities.
The 20th FIFA World Cup is here at last and everyone at AUN is talking about it. Everyone is deeply engrossed in the teams’ chances, the big games, players to look out for, and that ‘group of death.’
