On February 12, the AUN Honor Society hosted an event where first-year students learned more about the society.
“HS Freshmen Orientation” was the first of three events planned by the Honor Society as a part of its Tutorial Week that is held every semester.
The first-year students, who the event was planned exclusively for, were part of the AUN 101 First Year Experience Program.
President of the Honor Society, Reuben Ikape, explained that the AUN Honor Society is made up of students who have upheld the highest academic standards at AUN. The society organizes tutorials to help other students overcome their academic challenges.
“That is why we want you to aspire to be in the Honor Society. It’s an honor.”
The students were entertained and challenged with a brain game created by an Honor Society member. In each round of “4 Words and a Word,” they were given four seemingly unrelated words, and had to think of a word that those four words had in common. The winners received free airtime.
