On August 30, the management of AUN Hotel Conference Center & Spa marked the fifth anniversary of the facility.
Addressing the staff members, the General Manager, Amine Saad, reflected on the organization when it was just getting started. “Every day, for three months, it was training and retraining.”
Mr. Saad noted the increase in the number of employees over the years and said the facility has started to achieve the mission of the Founder, HE Atiku Abubakar, to develop the University’s host community. He said the Hotel is a big achievement for not only the University but for Adamawa since it attracts high dignitaries to the state. He thanked the Founder for his insight and encouraged all staff members to continuously put in their best in service to the organization. “We have a very big responsibility to make our guests and owner happier. In return, we would be happier – there would be plenty promotions.”
The management presented a certificate of appreciation to each staff member for exhibiting exemplary service, loyalty, and dedication to the values of the organization.
HR & Business Development Manager Eyitayo Ayoola said there has been remarkable progress in the organization since its establishment in 2012. He said the facility currently meets the requirements for a 4-star hotel but will continue to grow beyond its current capacity and strive to become a seven-star hotel.
The AUN Hotel features 58 spacious guest rooms, including six suites, 24/7 power, high-speed wireless internet service, Cable TV, modern kitchen, restaurant, gymnasium, conference facilities, laundry, and a modern business center. It is rated one of the most luxurious hotel in Northern Nigeria.
Hotel guests also have access to the University Club’s recreational facilities, including the swimming pool, tennis, and squash courts. The conference center and spa are among the facilities that are yet to be completed for use.
